Personal History Myra was born in Paris, France. Lone daughter of the now retired Andorian ambassador to earth and his wife. She was an unexpected, but very welcome child, her parents in their late 40's when she was born. She was named after her mother's best friend, a human woman who worked at the consulate alongside her.

Myra had a very privileged life. She attended the best schools France had to offer. Excelled in science and arts, and developed a taste for excellence. Always pushing herself to the limit, both physically and mentally, her parents were the ones who had to slow her down.

Curious by nature, she would push and prod and break things down to pieces in an attempt to understand how everything worked. To her parents dismay, she would often leave the targets of her interest lying around once she'd figured them out and had some other new obsession.

At 16 she applied for early admission to starfleet and to her parents dismay and pride, she was accepted. Where she had excelled before, she now flourished, having obviously found her place.

It was on her third year that she would find herself involved in a very serious accident with several other classmates. Following a tactical training course, she and a few others attempted (without authorization) to modify a phaser rifle. A mistake was made, an explosion ensued. Many were injured, including Myra. A board of inquiry was formed and an investigation followed. Several of her classmates tried to lie their way out of it, and where consequently dismissed from the academy.
A few refused to talk. She stepped up to the plate, taking full responsibility for the accident. Refusing to go into details, but admitting it was her fault. Her refusal to elaborate would have spelled her dismissal, were it not for her father’s still existent political pull.
Following that incident, she spent her remaining time there without many friends. She graduated top 3% of her class with a double major in Physical Science and Systems Engineering.

She then spent 3 months waiting on an assignment. When it finally came, it did so with a very unhappy captain. She served aboard the USS Potemkin for 6 years. First as a science officer, then an engineer, and finally ended with a stint in security. Each of those changes had closely followed a recommendation for promotion. Despite the hardship of a captain who would not recognize her abilities, she persevered. She kept an upbeat and cheerful attitude to the best of her abilities, especially towards her parents inquiries. Even the officers who were aware of the incident at the academy came to respect her stubborn optimism. All except the captain.

Then, out of the blue, she received new orders. She was to join the U.S.S. Harbinger as an operations officer. With the hope this new assignment would offer her the opportunity to move upwards, she prepared herself for change of pace.
